Q: How much Eagle Valley ABM bedding should we use in a 12 x 12 stall?

A: We recommend 4- 5 bags if you like your bedding thin, 6-7 bags if you like you bedding thick.

Q: How do you clean the Eagle Valley ABM?

A: Pick your stalls daily, removing any solids. Scrape the wet areas down to the floor, to let the air get into the urinated spots. Bring the dry ABM in from the edges to wet the areas to equalize moisture.

Q: When should I remove the wet bedding?

A: We recommend removing the wet area when it clumps or it does not break up readily on your dumpling fork. If you see the product change to a red colour this is a heavily saturated spot and should be removed.

Q: What is Eagle Valley ABM made of?

A: The product is manufactured from 100% wood and has approximately 5% starting moisture content. Compared to regular wood shavings it will absorb more moisture and greatly suppresses ammonia. It requires no additives, is bio-degradable and reduces the problem of waste bedding material.

Q: Is the Eagle Valley ABM safe for all animals?

A: Equines, iguanas, rodents, cats, dogs, cattle, llamas, sheep, goats and birds have used the Eagle Valley ABM with positive results in each situation.

Q: How long does the Eagle Valley ABM last in an average 12 x 12 stall?

A: Depends on a horse’s habits, type of animal and type of feed, every horse/animal will be different. Typically the length of time should be 3-5 weeks without adding any additional bedding. By topping up with ABM bedding, as a refresher when removing soiled areas, the length of time bedding can remain in the stall will improve.

Q: Do I need rubber mats to use the Eagle Valley ABM bedding?

A: No, you do not. It has been proven effective on all types of flooring including: plywood, dirt, clay, concrete, stall skins, rubber mats, limestone, etc.

Q: Can I use the Eagle Valley ABM bedding with my current bedding?

A: Yes, you can use the Eagle Valley ABM with your current bedding as an additive to absorb moisture. However, the long lasting effect of ABM will be shortened due to the mixing of beddings.

Q: Is the Eagle Valley ABM good for the environment?

A: Yes, Eagle Valley ABM is a by-product and no trees have been cut down to specifically manufacture the Eagle Valley ABM. The bedding breaks down very quickly and is compostable. When the product is removed from the stalls it can be placed right on fields.
